How to Flatter Your Body Type
There are soooo many labels when it comes to body types for women these days. I personally don’t like the labels, but on one hand they do help when it comes to understanding your body type and what type of lingerie will be accentuate it. If you search the internet you’ll find anywhere from 3 to 20 different body type labels. I’m going to go with the very basics today. You may fit into one category or you may fit into two or three. Either way, I hope that these suggestions will help you with your lingerie shopping to find something that is truly mind-blowing and out of this world for you!
Slim and/or Athletic
Classic bra and panty sets work wonderfully for you. From lace to mesh to push ups, try them all out and see what looks best or is most comfortable for you. If you’d like to accentuate your butt or make it look fuller, opt for a sexy pair of boy shorts.
If you’re a smaller, petite girl then try out lace, ruffles and underwire. Having tiered ruffles around your bust will add volume and underwire will give a nice lift.
Curvy and Hourglass
Corsets! Oh my they will push up the girls and make them look amazing and corsets also cinch your waist which can create sexy curves or enhance the ones you have. Boy shorts are also a great option for your booty. Teddy’s and lace little nighties that hit mid-thigh are super sexy as well.
A Few Extra Tips
When wearing lingerie, it’s all about flaunting your best assets and camouflaging the areas you don’t love as much. Focus on the part of your body that you like or feel is your best asset, and wear things that flaunt that area of the body.
If your bust is small: Tiered ruffles around the bust will add volume. Anything with underwire will give you a lift, and halter styles also pull the bust up and in, to create more cleavage.
If your bust is big: Try bandeau styles or anything with a plunging neckline or ruffle trim.
If you’d like to disguise a big booty: Go with boy shorts. Seriously, they’re amazing for every body type.
If you’re trying to narrow those hips and thighs: Anything that is sheer that hits mid-thigh will work. Silk robes are also great because you can cinch them at the waist.
If you’re fighting the dreaded muffin top: Corsets take 2 to 3 inches off your waist. They are your best bet. Also baby doll camisoles, or tunic-style tanks will help slim the waistline.
